Icca features two different experiences, at our bar area, located in the front of the restaurant is our Italian Kappo experience. The Omakase experience is hosted at our beautiful Omakase counter.
icca is an Omakase restaurant of intent and inspiration. Each element speaks to the desire of Michelin Star awarded Sushi Chef Kazushige Suzuki, and his team who amazes and delights our guests. An expression icca means to “open the flower of the heart” which shows the sensitivity and passion is our philosophy.
Chef Kazu serves a seasonal and innovative Omakase menu that includes the finest fish air-shipped from the Toyosu Market in Japan.
Seasonal ingredients are exclusively selected from Hokkaido, which highlights our signature Tokachi Herb Beef (N34).
Our Bar hosts our Italian Kappo experience. Kappo Cuisine is a refined, multi-course dining experience that bridges the gap between the formal Kaiseki and casual Izakaya styles. Originating from the Edo Era, Kappo is a high-class cuisine celebrated for its counter seats, which grew in popularity during the Taishou and early Showa eras. Our Italian Kappo uses Italian and Japanese techniques to accentuate the flavor of the ingredients.
Guests at icca find themselves immediately in a sense of wonder as they walk through the beautifully designed space that gives our guests a feeling of connectivity to the natural world. The interior incorporates traditional Japanese culture into the modern and luxurious New York City venue.
*Please note that our seasonal menu are currently not catered to vegetarian, vegan or gluten free options.
*Cancellations, reschedules or any changes to the reservation has to be made 72 hours prior to your reservation date. Any reservation that are past the 72 hour grace period are strictly non refundable with no exceptions.
For the safety of our guests, we reserve the right to cancel reservations if timely communication regarding allergies or dietary restrictions is unattainable. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this matter.
Cancellations of parties of 4 guests or more must be made a week in advance.

09 Dec, 2024What an Omakase Experience! We had an absolutely unforgettable time at this restaurant. Every dish felt like a work of art. The sake pairing and wine selection was spot-on. The ambiance was very inviting. A heartfelt thanks to the Chef and his Sous Chef for their incredible skill and dedication. Their passion for their craft truly shines through in every bite. I deeply appreciated how the Chef respected my dietary restriction of no meat. He thoughtfully crafted an exquisite alternative dish for me that was so flavorful and beautifully presented as the rest of the menu. This level of care and attention to detail truly elevated the dining experience and made it feel personal and unforgettable. If you’re looking for an elevated dining experience with incredible food, great vibes, and excellent drink pairings, this is the place to be. Bravo!

03 Dec, 2024Icca knocked it out of the park! We were running late, but the staff couldn’t have been cooler. Super understanding and welcoming. The service? Absolute perfection. Chef Kazushige Suzuki and his fellow chef are on another level. Every bite was a flavor explosion! Fresh, delicious, and straight up unforgettable. The vibe is super chill and relaxed, making it the perfect spot to kick back and enjoy some incredible omakase.

03 Aug, 2024One of my favorite sushi restaurants in New York. Chef Suzuki is young but he is very professional and friendly. The staff was pleasant and welcoming. Come try it and you won't regret it. I can't wait to go back!!!

11 Oct, 2023My friend an I went for the Italian Kappo. The staff was awesome. We chose to do the sale pairing and they introduced each and every one. (I’m not a huge fan of dry sake, I like more on the sweeter side. Hence they asked the chef for a replacement for one of the sakes. Very considerate). We had a very nice conversation with the staff and the food was amazing. None of the dishes were a disappointment. We are looking to come back to try their omakase.

04 Mar, 2024icca's Italian Japanese tasting course is not very Italian, but delicious nonetheless. The restaurant itself is quiet and unassuming, but operates very smoothly. Unlike other tasting course menus, you will definitely leave full (and they will even ask you if you want a larger portion size towards the end), so come hungry! The dishes are generally fun, and the ingredients are definitely high quality. I'd say the best courses were the cold pasta with tuna tartare and caviar (could eat a whole bowl of this!), apple compote and caramel mousse dessert, and the mackerel with truffle, while the tokachi herb beef fell short (a little bit too sweet and uncomfortably rich), as well as the red snapper fritto (the brussel sprout and sauce was great, but the fritto was just so average - could easily have been any fish). The fish-y pasta at the end was a lovely way to close off, and in particular, I really loved their use of vegetables throughout the courses. Also, the plum juice is absolutely divine. I'm not sure if this would be a regular spot for me, but I'd say it's worth a visit, and it's lovely, peaceful, and quiet for a unassuming date night. Would recommend!
