24 Nov, 2024Definitely one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had in a while. When we checked in, it was 3:45PM and our check in time was 4:00PM. We booked two rooms of the same category and were informed only one room would be ready at that time. A little after 4 we were told that the other room was ready. It was on the second floor despite the fact we requested a high floor. The room had one small window in the corner and was on the second floor next to the event space. It felt as though you were staying in a basement. When we asked if any other rooms were available since this was drastically different from our second room in the same category, we were informed that they would not move us to any other room because they didn’t have the “staff” to freshen up the room when we had just used it to change after a long trip and our room not being ready on time. The management was extremely unhelpful and disrespectful, especially a gentleman named Anthony, who was very rude on the phone and offered no solution to make the situation amicable. Upon checking out, I had a conversation with the front desk staff who continued to insist that the room was acceptable and that they would be willing to take $50 off and that they never do that, so I should appreciate what they’re doing for me. I was also told that the reason I didn’t like my room was because “you saw the other room you booked which was much nicer.” If that was the case, why were both rooms considered the same category and the same price? Very disappointed and surely will not be returning or recommending this hotel to others.

16 Sep, 2024I recently stayed at the Garden City hotel for a wedding and found it to be one of the nicest hotels in the area. The location is convenient, with coffee shops and restaurants within walking distance. Although the rooms are spacious, I noticed that they could use some renovation, particularly in the bathroom. The bell and door staff were extremely helpful and friendly, and I highly recommend the patio bar. However, I found the front desk staff to be somewhat stand-offish and not as welcoming as I would expect from a luxury hotel.

25 Aug, 2024Garden city hotel has recently become my new regular spot. This hotel has a regal feel and beyond exceptional service. The moment I pulled in, two men greeted me to take my bags/valet. Checking in is swift and the smile you get at the counter just makes it. Decided to come back to the hotel and they upgraded me to a penthouse suite just cuz, came with lounge access and pretty much free food forever. Absolutely love it here, better than other hotels I’ve stayed at that are 4x the price.

11 Aug, 2024I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff were exceptionally friendly and professional, making me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. My room was spotless, and the bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. Though there were plenty of dining options available, I chose room service, and I wasn't disappointed—my meal arrived quickly and was delicious. Overall, a great experience that I would happily recommend.

22 Jul, 2024I was looking forward to staying here as I’ve attended many events and finally had an opportunity to also spend the night. A few hours into my stay I decided to shower. I noticed quickly the tub wasn’t draining well and made a note to give the front desk a heads up that it was probably ready to be snaked when I was checking out. However when the shower handle broke a moment later I realized this was now a serious problem because I couldn’t turn the running water off and I was worried if someone wasn’t able to come up fast the room might flood. Thankfully maintenance was able to respond quickly. However after they arrived I realized I was only in a robe and didn’t have anywhere to dress now that a stranger was working in the bathroom. Thankfully he had to step out for a part so I dressed and went down to the front desk. I politely asked if they had been informed about the plumbing work. This information seemed to surprise and annoy the attendant. I was asked “well how long did they say it would take to fix?” I said not long but it’s getting late, I’m mid-shower and now the bathroom is dirty from tools being on the floor a wet vacuum and work boots. This convinced the attendant to move me but they really seemed annoyed by the situation whereas at a hotel of this caliber especially on such a quiet night I would have expected to be thanked for how polite and understanding I was and to be proactively offered to move. My new room was definitely had wear and tear too.
