16 Sep, 2024**Restaurant Review: Zia Maria** I recently dined at Zia Maria, drawn in by the inviting and modern photos I saw online. However, the actual experience was a bit of a letdown. The moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels rushed—it's clear they prioritize turning tables over creating a comfortable dining experience where you can enjoy your meal at a leisurely pace. It’s more of a “get in, eat, and get out” vibe. The food was slightly above average, but honestly, it’s overpriced for what you get. The dishes were decent, but nothing that justified the cost. The noise level was also a big issue. It was so loud that I had to raise my voice to talk to my table companions, and even the waiters had to speak louder just to be heard. The staff, while efficient, seemed to be in a constant rush, reinforcing that feeling of getting diners out the door quickly rather than focusing on quality and hospitality. To be fair, I’m giving Zia Maria 4 stars out of 5, though I believe it truly deserves 3. The food and service aren’t bad, but the rushed atmosphere, high prices, and noise level just take away from what could be a much better dining experience.

10 Oct, 2024I was very excited for this food and they did not disappoint. The host made sure we were taken care of as we were waiting for a table. We got cocktails, the claim appetizer and pasta. the bread was good too! I would definitely come back for more.

13 Nov, 2024My newly wedded wife and I came up to NYC for our honeymoon and stopped into Zia Maria’s; best decision of our entire trip. I have been coming to NYC for most of my life and this was the first trip into Maria’s and I did not regret it. The atmosphere is absolutely elegant with a flavor of old New York. The staff are inviting and welcoming to everyone who enters, and are very respectful to those who have questions. The menu is priced reasonably and the food portion is sizable enough that you will not need seconds. Everything about this restaurant is what you could want when delving into Little Italy and the beautiful culture of the area. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for authenticity and great atmosphere with amazing food.

17 Nov, 2024Lively, fun atmosphere. Some of the best pizza we’ve had at a restaurant, and I think we are quite particular about our pies. Ravioli was enjoyed, as well. My only complaint is noise, but I am not from the city, so if you love the bustle and big noise, it’s perfect. Overall, thank you for your charming service and good food.

25 Nov, 2024The service was friendly until the food arrived, after that they were not so attentive to the table. The pasta frutti di mare is not on the menu, they say it is a “special” dish because it includes lobster; but that is not true, since at the time of payment they charge for it separately, meaning that if I don’t want lobster I simply order the pasta… Why do they say it is special? To add +$ for a lobster that is not necessary… The margarita pizza was delicious as was the pasta alfredo.
