22 Nov, 2024Revisiting the area after almost 30 years, to find this hotel here was interesting. The neighborhood has changed, looks like it's growing for the better. Parking is find where you can fit on street parking. I was placed in a last sell room right outside the door was the front desk. I wouldn't recommend this room only due to privacy. Overall I would make the my home away from home. Thanks Front Desk staff

04 Oct, 2024I booked a stay here, knowing full well it was a budget choice quite a bit away from the other boroughs. If you are already aware of those two things - you get what you pay for here. No towel rail, no hair dryer, no toilet brush, no clothes hangers, no amenities in the neighborhood. All the chairs and tables in the breakfast room are wobbly, the provided breakfast itself is pastries, and (surprisingly fresh) fruit. Room was quiet enough, although you have got to live with other customers making weird noises from corridor at all hours of the night. Bathroom was clean. I would recommend this as a choice if the price is right and if you are aware of how long it takes to get anywhere on transit.

16 Nov, 2024So glad the island has a hotel NOT being used as a shelter! It's always clean! Spotless. Staff is very friendly. I would like to see the complimentary breakfast extended to 11 a.m.

16 Aug, 2024This is a good value hotel for technically being in NYC. When I booked, this was the cheapest nightly rate in all of NYC! That being said, it’s not glamorous, the location isn’t anything fancy and the low price tag does attract some less than desirable clientele. I had a very smooth check in process, found my room easily and everything was very clean. One of the first things I noticed though, was that the noise from the hallway echos incredibly loud and could be heard clearly in my room. Due to the echoing issue, I was woken up several times by slamming doors in the hallway, people shouting and banging on doors, one woman was going around knocking on her groups doors at 6 in the morning. She was very loud and inconsiderate. Then, she had a “panic attack” and was escorted out by stretcher and ambulance. The group she was with didn’t seem totally sane — hence my comment of the very cheap price tag attracting less than ideal clientele. For one night, this place was fine. Made it through a-ok. The hotel staff were friendly and nice too - don’t want to fault them for the crazy lady in the hallway. For more than one night stay, I’d consider a different place.

23 Nov, 2024Booked a a 5 Day - 4 Night, room was ok (no closest or storage area what so ever) which is ok, but in all my stay I didn't get room service once ! I told the front desk (3 different people, on 3 different days) and they assured me that they will make sure i get room service, Never did. I had to ask for towels every night and ran out of shampoo and soap (which the guy there didn't know where they store them) so i had to buy for the convenient store down the road. It was close to $1000 for my stay, so i would expect to get a $250/night treatment but No. and when i asked for compensation, they completely ignored and dismissed my request. Very unprofessional I would never stay here again or recommend it to anyone. Zero stars for services and efforts.
