18 Nov, 2024First the good. Room was clean. Staff was friendly. Hotel access from the road is just plain terrible and should be illegal. You have to turn across an entrance ramp with cars trying to accelerate. Simply unbelievably bad. I was initially given a room that wasn't clean and had to come back down to the front desk with all my luggage. The hotel only has one luggage cart by the way, that no one had returned. My bathroom sink had no cold water. Only hot. I had to use the shower to get cold water to brush my teeth. We booked the park and sail package. This was a HUGE disappointment and not well run. We were told to be in the lobby at 8:15am. But, not everyone could fit in the van and bus. So, they had to make a second trip. We didn't board until 9:30. HUGE waste of my time. Why not assign trip times. Every time we asked how much longer, we were always told "just 10 minutes". Shuttle van was dirty and VERY RUSTED out. I can't believe this van would pass an inspection. Driver did not speak English. Pickup process was disorganized. No sign to line up behind. Boarding was a free-for-all and very unfair. Some who had been standing in line for longer got left behind due to lack of seats and had to wait an hour for the second pickup. Bus sign only said "Hampton Inn". Since the driver spoke no English we were not sure we were actually going to the Hampton Inn Ridgefield Park. Thankfully we were on the right van.

20 Nov, 2024Had a great experience staying here. Our room was nice spacious and clean. We always stayed at the Hampton when we traveled. Lesly the GM was wonderful. He went out of his way to help us find a great mechanic to fix our vehicle. Thank you so much Lesly. We are grateful.

28 Nov, 2024There are two issues: (1) no hot water (lukewarm water only), (2) driving in is extremely dangerous. (1) based on what I read from other ppl's reviews, having no hot water at this location is a permanent problem. They will NOT fix it. Hilton should manage their franchisees better. (2) Look at the photo that I included with this review. The blue arrow is the route that most guests will be using to get into the Inn's parking lot. The red arrow is the merging NJ turnpike that the guests will have to somehow pass over to get into the parking lot. All cars merging in are cruising at their 60-70mph highway speed. This is extremely dangerous. Getting killed is only a matter of time. I think the issue number 2 is the main reason this place is priced lower than the city average. Rooms and Service are better than some of the folks described here. The rooms were clean, and service was not over the top but nice enough.

05 Dec, 2024The shower tub was cracked in room 422. There was no hit water after requesting maintenance assistance. The breakfast was not good at all. The eggs tasted like water and salt. I probably won't be staying here again.
