Please SAVE YOUR MONEY, the location looks nice from the outside but inside is unorganized.The front desk is Nasty and the rooms have doors in between them and you will be able to hear people. Speaking of the rooms it’s outdated & not clean, if you try to speak with a manager they will give you every excuse in the book, don’t waste money at that location look some where else. If I can give them a ZERO I would.

We reserved and there was a name issue, called before reservation due, only to have front desk lecture me on the name issue telling me it'll never happen again I was like I understand the booking was for me and my husband , he is coming ahead of me card in his name, just wanted to make sure because the app stated that it was fine but the receipt to my email showed only my name then you could clearly hear someone cover up the phone and speak to someone in the background in the middle of our conversation. I was like sorry what was you saying to me ,then they got rude and hung up. I was told it was a phone issue when I called back however you could hear something covering up the phone called again today asking about the billing it showed up each night as a separate charge on my credit card was told again they were having phone issues when I told her I couldn't hear and then she proceeded to adjust the phone but it sounded as if the phone had hung up kept saying hello I repeated hello I called back she stated you hung up very rudely tried to ask if she could hear me cuz I could hear her speaking to someone in the background when I went to say thanks to the front desk receptionist she said yeah uh-huh and hung up the call I've never had such rude service at a Red Roof in all my travels. This will not be a repeat stay for us in the future.

We stayed for one night at this hotel. Overall, our experience was positive in some areas but left room for improvement. Pros: • The beds were comfortable and clean, and the bathroom was tidy. While the flush seat was broken upon arrival, it was promptly fixed within an hour or so, which was appreciated. • Our room overlooked the highway, which we enjoyed as we like the hustle and bustle of city life. • The location is excellent, being very close to Newark Liberty International Airport (just a few minutes away) and about 10 miles (roughly a 30-minute drive) from India Square. India Square offers a fantastic variety of Indian, Pakistani, and Bangladeshi food options open till late, along with shops selling snacks, sweets, and other essentials. • The room price was reasonable, and the double-bed setup worked well for us. Amenities like television, Wi-Fi, a coffee maker, a microwave, a refrigerator, and a safe were available. However, the safe in our room was not operable when we inquired at the front desk. Cons: • One major issue we faced was with the bedding. Traveling with a nine-year-old child with special needs, my child cannot sleep alone due to separation anxiety and moves a lot during sleep. Sharing a twin-sized quilt was challenging, as it wasn’t sufficient for two people. Despite requesting an extra quilt or blanket from the front desk twice, we never received one nor received a follow-up call. This lack of responsiveness was disappointing, as it resulted in a very uncomfortable night for me, especially with an eight-hour drive ahead. Had the staff responded, even with an apology, we could have made alternative arrangements or received the necessary support. • While the bathroom was clean, the shower speed was extremely slow, which made taking a quick shower difficult. Suggestions for Improvement: • Ensure that requests for additional bedding or other essential items are addressed promptly, particularly for families traveling with children or those with special needs. This small action would significantly improve guest satisfaction. • Address maintenance issues such as the safe and shower speed more effectively to enhance the overall guest experience. Despite these issues, the hotel has potential given its excellent location and affordability. With a few improvements in customer service and amenities, it could provide a much more comfortable and welcoming experience for families and travelers.

I don’t have anything good to say about my stay here. For starters, we rented a suite and it was a very small suite. Additionally the furniture is outdated and looks worn out and dirty. When we entered the room one of the door knobs in was missing. When we closed the door to the room the smoke detector which was right above the door fell off . I then noticed a bug in the roof close to where the smoke detector was. It appeared to be a bed bug. Additionally there were red smears on different areas of the roof from what appeared to be left after killing a bug. The staff had the nerve to call us after check out asking about the smoke detector. When I explained to them that it fell off they proceeded to accuse us of intentionally and deliberately removing it. I explained to them that it fell off and they responded with “well why wasn’t the front desk notified”. Gee, I don’t know… maybe because I was too busy making sure the room wasn’t infested with bedbugs. They called back a second time to say that maintenance reported that we took off the smoke detectors intentionally as if they were there in the room with us. Poor management, poor customer service and I will def be leaving a review in every platform and posting pictures of the bugs

Perfect for a pre post Airport stop. Comfortable, very reasonable prices, with established local food delivery choices. No breakfast room so be ready to order in or eat out at the local Wendy's etc. V happy.
